Use Seeker in ChatGPT and Claude

Seeker's connector finds live job postings that fit your resume, right in your AI assistant. It works in Claude, in ChatGPT once its listing is approved, and in any app that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

What it does

The connector has one read-only tool, match_resume. When you share your resume text and ask for jobs, your assistant sends that text to Seeker, which compares it with the live job postings it collects from company career sites. You get up to 5 matches, each with the job title, company, location, a fit label, a short reason and the link to the posting, plus a link to see all your matches on Seeker.

It only reads. It does not apply to jobs, save anything to an account or change anything on your behalf.

How to add it

Claude

  1. Open Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Seeker and enter the URL https://www.seekerscore.com/mcp.
  3. Leave the authentication fields empty. There is no sign-in.
  4. In a new chat, turn on Seeker in the tools menu, paste your resume and ask which jobs fit you.

Custom connectors work on claude.ai and the Claude desktop app. Seeker is not listed in Claude's connector directory yet, so add it with the steps above.

ChatGPT

The Seeker app for ChatGPT is in review with OpenAI. It will be available from ChatGPT's app directory once that review is approved.

Other MCP clients

Add a remote server with the Streamable HTTP transport at https://www.seekerscore.com/mcp. No API key, OAuth or other authentication is needed.

Example prompts

Paste your resume text in the same message or just before it.

  • Here is my resume. Which open jobs fit me?
  • I'm a registered nurse with 6 years in the ICU. Here is my resume: find live roles that match it.
  • Using my resume below, show me jobs that would be a next step up from my current role.

What data is sent and kept

Your resume text is sent to Seeker only when you ask for matches, and it is used to compute them. You can leave out your phone number and home address; they are not needed. Seeker's usage records contain counts and timings, never resume text. ChatGPT gives Seeker an anonymous identifier, and other assistants a random connection identifier, used only to apply the limits below.

The details are in our privacy policy, under Browser Extension and AI Assistant Apps. Your assistant provider's own handling of the conversation is covered by its privacy policy.

Limits

  • Resume text must be between 200 and 50,000 characters.
  • Each person can run 3 matches every 10 minutes and 15 per day.
  • There is also an overall daily limit across all users. When a limit is reached you get a short message, not an error.
  • Results cover the job postings Seeker has collected, not every job on the internet.

What the fit labels mean

Each match is labeled Strong fit, Good bet, Next step up or Stretch. The labels describe how well your resume matches the posting. They are not your odds of getting an interview or being hired. How matching works.
