The role

Are you ready to work at the intersection of advanced spacecraft flight software and AI-native engineering? We are reinventing how flight software is built for Amazon's low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellation — bringing AI-native development to one of the most demanding real-time domains in engineering. Our toolkit spans agentic development workflows, coding agents (Kiro, Claude Code, Codex), agent harnesses, and the LLM optimization that powers them — applied to software that flies.

The Role You will own the full software development lifecycle, end to end. This is greenfield territory: no playbook exists for AI-native flight software development, and you will help write it. We're looking for pioneers eager to lead this transformation. You won't do it alone — you'll work alongside distinguished engineers from the front lines of the space industry with 20+ years of flight software experience, and seasoned LLM engineers, all committed to coaching, mentoring, and growing new talent.

Bring solid engineering fundamentals and the heart of a lion; we'll provide the rest. Responsibilities - Build, deploy, and optimize AI-native development systems — agentic workflows, agent harnesses, and LLM optimization — for flight software in the space industry - Develop embedded software in C/C++ on a real-time operating system (RTOS), and cloud software on Linux - Write device drivers and system applications for flight code and flight management - Partner closely with hardware teams on board bring-up and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) integration testing Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
