Job Summary

The Iron Worker is responsible for completing tasks related to structural iron and steel erection and completing the tasks in a timely, quality manner while maintaining safety and productivity.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Assist in work area layout, assembly, and installation of structural steel. May include taking measurements, assisting with setting up rigging, unloading, and shaking out material.
• Install safety lines and posts.
• Clean work area and assist in keeping it safe.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

• GED or High School Diploma.
• TWIC Card and/or Real ID are required.
• Ability to work at heights in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work from ladders and scaffolds.

Preferred

• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks during long shifts.
• Skilled in math which includes adding and subtracting fractions.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must pass a background check and do a drug screening.

Work Environment

• Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
• Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment.
• Repairing overhead bridge crane runway systems.
• Limited working surfaces.
• Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
• Exposure to areas with limited visibility.

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
