How it works

  1. We read the job description for the skills it names, which are required and which are preferred, and the years it asks for.
  2. We read your resume for the same skills and your years of experience.
  3. You see the share of the job's skills you match, the must-haves you are missing, and whether the level fits.

It is not the employer's own ATS score, which you never see. Read what an ATS score is for how those work.

Questions

Is this my real ATS score?
No. Every employer's applicant tracking system scores resumes its own way, and you never see that number. This checker gives you a keyword match score: the share of the skills in the job description that it also finds on your resume, plus the required skills you are missing and whether your years fit.
How is the ATS resume score calculated?
We read the job description for the skills it names and sort them into required and preferred, along with any years of experience it asks for. Then we read your resume for the same skills and your years. The score is the share of the job's skills found on your resume.
What is a good ATS resume score?
Higher is better, but there is no universal cutoff. Covering every required skill matters more than the overall percentage, and a low score on a posting full of nice-to-haves can still be worth applying to.
Is it free, and is my resume saved?
It is free with no login. Your resume is read for this check only and is not saved by it.
